HTN TiN is the industry’s gold standard (literally and figuratively) for reliable, general-purpose coating performance. Its balance of hardness, lubricity, and chemical stability makes it one of the most widely used PVD coatings in the world. TiN is a smart choice for components that experience frequent wear, moderate heat, or material adhesion challenges. From forming tools to surgical instruments to consumer products, HTN delivers consistent performance and extended service life across a wide range of industries and materials.
With its iconic gold finish, HTN doesn’t just look sharp, it performs. It improves surface durability while maintaining tight tolerances, making it ideal for precision tools and parts that must perform under friction without thermal breakdown. Its biocompatibility and low reactivity also make it suitable for medical and food-grade components. Whether your goal is better part longevity, reduced friction, or aesthetic appeal, HTN TiN provides a dependable solution with proven results.
Our HTN coating is applied using state-of-the-art Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) systems in a high-vacuum environment. During this process, titanium is vaporized and reacted with nitrogen gas to form a thin, dense ceramic layer on the component surface. This tightly controlled process ensures consistent coating thickness, superior adhesion, and excellent repeatability—even on complex geometries.
The low-temperature nature of PVD (typically below 500°C) makes it safe for use on temperature-sensitive materials and finished components with tight tolerances.
