HTS

HTS Coating Image

AlTiN + TiSiN | Bronze

HTS is a bilayer AlTiN/TiSiN coating. The AlTiN layer gives the coating durability and resistance to impact, while the nanocomposite TiSiN layer provides hardness and heat resistance. This combination of properties allows HTS to perform at the highest levels in difficult-to-machine materials like titanium and hardened steels. HTS also works well in cast irons, super alloys, and stainless steels.

Applications

Best for: Versatile protection in high-temp, tough-material machining

  • Aerospace tools for titanium and nickel alloys
  • High-performance inserts for dry or semi-dry cutting
  • Molds and dies for reinforced polymers or hardened steel
  • End mills needing both edge strength and oxidation resistance
